A Sneak Peek at 2013

Now that you’ve seen just about everything I did last year in my not one, not two, but three part series wrap up of 2012, are you ready to see what’s in store for 2013?

Good! Here goes.

This year we will be updating one bathroom and totally remodeling the other. Progress has already been made, check out this demolition site in the basement. This is where the shower used to be.

And here? This is what a 113 year old foundation looks like when it’s patched. Wrong.

That’s not what you do to a 113 year old foundation.

Foundation Wall

We’ve already had a mason and plumber in. Updates soon.

I also have decorated my office over the last few months.  There are all kinds of changes in there, including a newly painted fireplace,

Painting Brick

Custom curtains, and gallery wall that looks like this {well, at least part of it does}.

Notice a little Mr. Darcy in there :-)

Then there is the backyard! I’ve mentioned we were getting a makeover out there and here is a peek at what the hardscape looks like. Reclaimed brick, flagstone, and sandstone, it’s beautiful. I can’t wait until we get some plants and do all the landscaping.

And I get to garden this spring too, I can’t wait. What vegetables should I grow?

There’s my feet. On the blog :-)

Of course these are more major projects and there will be some tips and tricks, sewing fun, and other updates around the house thrown in too.

What I absolutely can’t wait to show you is some of the traveling I’ve done. Over the past few years I’ve been to England, Wales, Ireland, and France most recently. Plus a few fun day trips closer to home, but fun none the less.

Here are some shots of Ireland and the Cliffs of Moher.

Jennifer at Celebrating Everyday Life went there last year, you have to go see her amazing photos.

I thought maybe a Travel Tuesday kind of thing once in a while? Then you can see some highlights of the fun I have as a broad. I mean abroad :-)

I’m looking forward to showing you them all. Anything here you are especially looking forward to seeing? Happy weekend!

  1. Can’t wait to see your bathroom progress! I also can’t wait to see more your office, I’m a huge Jane Austen fan, so I love the artwork!
