Painting Progress

What to most people do when they move into a new house? Besides eat Chinese on the living room floor. They paint! And paint and paint some more. Painting is most often the first step in making a house your own and now that we've been in the new place for about a month, we've done our fair share. Including all the ceilings and closets upstairs. Painting has been our hobby. Take a look at the surfaces we're still slathering with paint. First, the foyer. This color is Creamy Mushroom by Behr. You can see a piece of the fireplace too. That got white over a oh-so-90's maroon. You can see up there that I'm still stripping the wallpaper in that corner. I've also painted the entryway. Here is a before pic. The entryway top got Flint Smoke by Behr. This was the color we picked for the bedroom and we had lots of leftovers so I threw it up there on the ceiling and walls in the foyer one Saturday. Once I get some artwork I'll show some after pics. The bottom half over that textured wallpaper {which I like} will get white. Here is the Flint Smoke in the bedroom. Look at how different the same color looks on two walls that get different light. Here is a partial reveal of the bedroom, at least in its during stage. It's still a work in progress but it is coming along nicely. Since I had so much of the Flint Smoke, I put in the bathroom one night on a whim. That's what we decorators do right? Paint the bathroom for fun when there are a million other things to do right?
